SunChips is taking steps to reduce the amount of non–renewable materials they use for packaging. Right now, 33% of their 10 1/2 oz. bags are made with renewable, plant based materials. Even better, they've announced that in 2010 they plan to introduce the first fully compostable chip bag of its kind. The bags will be designed to fully decompose in 14 weeks when placed in a hot, active compost bin or pile.
